Fun programs for all ages help make lemonade out of lemons while we cope with restrictions on summer fun due to COVID-19. New community programs feature activities kids can do at home, virtual events, online music in the park, and more. There is something for everyone under the sun or in the comfort of your home through the end of August.
"We have been working throughout the summer to create new and innovative programs for youth, families and individuals to do in the safety of their own environments,” Lauren Woodmansee, Recreation Supervisor, said.
Bellingham Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Max Higbee Center, provides popular
SPIN dances each month for individuals with disabilities. The beloved
Elizabeth Park Summer Concert series has not missed a beat this year, thanks to all the hard work and creativity of community partners including the Historical Eldridge Society, KMRE 102.3 FM and Varvid. Great performances are every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.
